What is Carter's Drive?

Carter's Drive was created by Scott and Tara Selinger after they lost their first born son, Carter, during Tara's 37th week of pregnancy on May 7, 2006.  Shortly after Carter's death they wanted to start a foundation in Carter's name to raise money for charities or causes where children are involved.  However, Scott and Tara had to take a break from their planning because Tara became pregnant with Carter's little sister Ella Kathleen who was born perfectly healthy on May 13, 2007.  Once Ella arrived safely they quickly started planning again and decided to have an annual golf outing lovingly named, Carter's Drive.  They thought it was only fitting that the first cause to support would be the Angel of Hope statue that is planned to be built in Washington Park's Botanical Garden.  The statue will be a place for parents to go to remember their children that they have lost.

If you know of a good charity or cause for children please feel free to call Scott or Tara and talk to them about it as they will be looking for another charity or cause to donate the proceeds to for future years.
